for students who choose to attend a Missouri public community college

------------------------------------------------
The purpose of the A+ program is to:

that are challenging and have identified learning expectations.
- Provide information on career pathways for all students.
------------------------------------------------
Students who graduate from a designated A+ School may qualify for state-paid

SOUTHWEST CITIZENSHIP POLICY:
In order to qualify for tuition incentives under the A+ School program,
a student must maintain standards indicative of good citizenship while
at school and in the community. Students who represent a school in activities
must be creditable citizens and judged so by the proper school authority
certifying a list of students for competition or involvement in programs.
Those students whose character or conduct is such as to reflect discredit
upon themselves or their schools are not considered "creditable citizens."
Conduct shall be satisfactory in accord with the standards of good discipline.
Violations will be reviewed by the principal and review commitee using
the following guidelines:
- Incidents of drug/alcohol use or possession.
- Disrespect for authority, school property, or fellow students
- OSS suspensions are serious in nature and will result in a review of
the student's status.
Upon review of individual cases, the principal & committee will respond
in one of two ways:
1. Placing that student on probation for the next semester with the expectation
that there would be no more referrals.
2. Remove the student from the A+ Tuition Incentive Program.
Parents will be notified of the review committee's decision.
An appeal may be made to the A+ Office on the Appeal of Citizenship Certification
Form.
