At Southwest R-V
Middle School, we believe all students can succeed. Middle
school learners are children in transition from childhood
to adulthood, from dependent to independent, and we want
to assist them along the way. Building relationships between
students, parents, and teachers is our focus.
SWMS offers a rigorous
curriculum geared to transfer academic success to the
high school, and SWMS students must put forth effort to
take advantage of the teaching by actively participating
in the learning process. Our experienced staff is available
through conferences, e-mails, and phone conversations.
SWMS also offers
numerous extra-curricular activities to help with their
students’ cognitive and physical needs. These activities
are: Academic Team, Drama, Speech & Debate, Band, Choir,
Basketball, Volleyball, Track & Field, Art Club, FACS,
and Student Council.
